How To Spot A Good Habit
How do we know what habits are good and bad for us? Chocolate tastes great today, but the belly fat doesn't feel so good later.
Long term thinking is the tool to know what's good and bad for you.
I've seen a model, thinking on the impact of this action in 10 years. I find more helpful thinking this:
What would be the result if I repeated this for 10 years?
A good habit is a friend of consistency and time; a bad habit is an enemy of them.
Compounding acts both ways. First of all, try different things. Maybe some diet is better for your body. Maybe some exercise is better for your health. Maybe you like to write or read in a computer instead of on paper.
Once you find what works for you, it's time to repeat until you succeed. Think forever, but 10 years is long enough to see an extreme change.
If you cannot sustain the process, you will lose the results, sooner or later.
I love writing here, it's like a videogame. Maybe we'll see each other here 10 years from now.
